Gemengde techieken met hergebruikte denim, lood, kruk, 65 x 50 x 30cm.

Takken komen in verschillende vormen voor in mijn werk, als wandkleed (zie het werk links-boven), patroon of sculptuur. Ik baseer ze op gedachten aan de tuin als metafoor, waarin snoeiafval een berg beslissingen is over wat wel en wat niet. Wat kan blijven en wat teveel is en ruimte moet maken voor iets anders. De twee takje in dit werk houden elkaar is evenwicht, ze dragen en tillen tegelijkertijd. Een wimpel van lood houd ze op kun plek als een viering van vaste grond.

Mixed techniques with recycled denim, lead, stool, 65 x 50 x 30cm.

Branches appear in my work in various forms, as a wall hanging (see the work on the left above), pattern or sculpture. I base them on thoughts of the garden as a metaphor, in which pruning waste is a mountain of decisions. What can stay and what is too much and needs to make room for something else. The two branches in this work keep each other in balance, they carry and lift at the same time. A pennant of lead keeps them in place as a celebration of solid ground.
