Vandaag twee jaar geleden stierf mijn vader, Abel Polderman. Ik maakte dit herinnerings portret ter nagedachtenis aan hem. Het is gemaakt van transparante lagen stof en kralen die ons samen, als in een klein hemellichaam, verbinden.

I made this small textile sculpture in a bell jar on commision. The tree above, and the roots below earth’s surface, find each other in color and both show an offspring from pink to yellow. It represents a newly found old part that has blossomed again.
