I made this small textile sculpture in a bell jar on commision. The tree above, and the roots below earth’s surface, find each other in color and both show an offspring from pink to yellow. It represents a newly found old part that has blossomed again.

Een herinneringsportret, in opdracht gemaakt voor

Een herinneringsportret, in opdracht gemaakt voor en ter ere van de 85e verjaardag van Jetske. Het laat haar 1941 overleden vader en haar in 1993 overleden moeder zien. Zij flankeren een jonge Jetske in een prachtige jurk op een stralende zomerdag.

Het werk, een ingelijst wandkleed, is gemaakt van prints op transparante zijde met details van kant en borduurwerk.
