Het werk ‘Paradijs’ combineert verschillende lagen textiel met medailles en diagonale strepen. Ze representeren verschillende lagen van werkelijkheid, verbeeldt middels drijvende bladeren. Ze markeren de grens tussen onder en boven. De bijschriften naast de medailles zijn als afgelakte informatie, zwarte balkjes. De medailles zelf zijn bedoelt als een kleine ode aan het gewone zoals een mooi verkleurd blad dat op straat ligt.

The work “Paradise” combines various layers of textile with medals and diagonal stripes. They represent different layers of reality, depicted through floating leaves. They mark the boundary between above and below. The captions next to the medals are like blackened information. The medals themselves are intended as a small ode to the ordinary, like a beautifully faded leaf lying on the street.

Oog, 2024 (r)

Gemengde technieken met textiel, doorsnede 40 cm, diepte 4 cm.

Het werk ‘Oog’ gaat over de verbondenheid tussen het bewuste en onderbewuste. Het is een college waarin verschillende materialen zijn verwerkt; textiel, karton, metaal en goudkleurig borduurwerk. Het werk is bevestigd op een houten drager zodat het werk afstand van de wand krijgt en er een extra ruimtelijkheid ontstaat.

The work ‘Eye’ is about the connection between the conscious and subconscious. It is a college in which different materials are processed; textile, cardboard, metal and gold-colored embroidery. The work is attached to a wooden support so that the work gets distance from the wall and an extra spatiality is created.
